Whole
Earth International! We are committed Christians who are dedicated
to helping hurting people throughout the world. We are comprised
of several companies and
ministries based in Nashville, Tennessee, each one with the purpose of raising money
to stop human trafficking, to free slaves, to help homeless teens and abused women,
and to help others stop the slave traders and those who profit from
keeping humans in cruel bondage through isolation, beatings, rape,
torture and imprisonment.
Our mission is simple - we are abolitionists and exist to help free
slaves throughout the whole earth. Slavery is not only still being
practiced in America and the world today, there are MORE slaves now than
at any other time in history!
This multi-billion dollar industry is primarily the sexual slavery of
children and teens (both male and female) and of women. It is also
the forced hard labor slavery of all ages and sexes in sweatshops,
farms, restaurants, rock quarries, private homes and many other
industries.
Approximately 27,000,000 (27 MILLION!!!)
hurting human beings are brutally enslaved in the world today.
To give you
an idea of how many people that actually is, consider this:

number of slaves in the world today.

In America, if you
combined all the people in the following cities you've got 27 million:
New York, Los Angeles, Houston, San Francisco, Chicago, San Jose,
Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Antonio, Indianapolis, Detroit, Dallas, and
San Diego.
It is estimated that
between 14,500 and 17,500 humans are trafficked into -- and within --
the United States every year (and of course, these estimates are
probably low given the nature of human trafficking.) These are new
slaves...this is not counting the people already here and already
living with the horror of being a human who was bought or sold.
How many "illegal aliens" are actually slaves? How many people who
dreamed of coming to America have had that dream turned into an absolute
nightmare?
These
numbers are hard to comprehend and nearly unbelievable but make no
mistake, it's true AND it's completely outrageous! This barbaric
and inhumane practice must be stopped in our generation and we don't
believe it's a coincidence or mistake that you are on this website...you
are being called to help. (Especially if you are a
Christ follower because Jesus makes it clear that we are to be Christians
against human trafficking!) Read the
