Everyone knows we Americans LOVE our coffee, and drinking -- and serving -- organic, shade grown, Fair Trade coffee (that's freshly roasted and absolutely delicious) is something that makes EVERYONE involved feel good about themselves!

Our Mission Coffee not only supports and buys Fair Trade beans directly from coffee farmers, they pay 70% ABOVE Fair Trade prices!  They are committed to helping and doing good with coffee and they've set up a business model that benefits the growers first and then the consumer in 2 ways:  affordable, organic coffee and a social justice networking opportunity for those inclined to take charge of their own lives (and develop a lifestyle vs. just earning a living.)

We're helping people AND helping the planet (ALL our coffee is shade grown thus helping the habitat for critters and birds PLUS the organic farming methods are helping heal the land the coffee is grown on PLUS there are no harmful chemicals used in the growing process.  Did you know that over 1,000 chemicals have been reported in roasted coffee; more than half of those tested (19/28) are RODENT CARCINOGENS?  Coffee's negative health effects are often blamed on its caffeine content but it may be the CHEMICALS, NOT THE COFFEE!  Instant coffee has a much greater amount of acrylamide than brewed coffee.  There are health benefits to organic, chemical free coffee too, MANY benefits.

"The presence of antioxidants in coffee has been shown to prevent free radicals from causing cell damage. A recent study showed that roast coffee, high in lipophilic antioxidants and chlorogenic acid lactones, protected primary neuronal cell cultures against hydrogen peroxide-induced cell death.

"Researchers involved in an ongoing 22-year study by the Harvard School of Public Health state that "the overall balance of risks and benefits of coffee are on the side of benefits."  Men who drank six or more cups of coffee per day were found to have a 20% reduction in developing prostate cancer.

"Other studies suggest coffee consumption reduces the risk of being affected by Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, heart disease, diabetes mellitus type 2, cirrhosis of the liver, and gout.

"A longitudinal study in 2009 showed that those who consumed a moderate amount of coffee or tea (3–5 cups per day) at midlife were less likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer's disease in late-life compared with those who drank little coffee or avoided it altogether." (source:  Wikipedia)

Holding coffee parties is the perfect way to introduce people to HEALTHY, organic (meaning petrochemical and pesticide free) that is seriously delicious and costs about 40¢ per cup of coffee!  (You can't GET coffee this fresh in any coffee shop...let alone organic...for anywhere NEAR this price...FORTY CENTS PER CUP!!!)

For every $3.00 cup of coffee you buy at any Starbuck's in Nashville, only 3¢ goes to the coffee farmers...NOT true with Our Mission Coffee.  We pay our farmers 70% ABOVE Fair Trade prices!

You can bring it to a tailgate party, your MeetUp group, your office, your aerobics class (did you know recent studies have proven coffee is HEALTHY for you?), your bridge club, your sports team or ANYWHERE since 75% of Americans drink coffee and 60% drink it every day.

Bringing premium, organic 100% Fair Trade coffee to share; coffee that tastes delicious AND helps people, is ALWAYS welcome.  Invite friends over or hold a FUNdraiser for your church, company, non-profit group or house of worship!

We did a comparison in September 2011 for organic coffee in a few local stores and here's what we found:  organic coffee averages about $1 per ounce, some a little less and some a little higher.  Our Mission Coffee is in the same price range as Starbuck's and Dunkin' Donuts with one crucial difference:  we deliver directly to your home AND the coffee is shipped the same day it's hand roasted right here in Nashville so it's incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor.

In one store, the Starbuck's we looked at had been sitting on the shelf since January (9 months) and the Dunkin' Donuts had been there since March (6 months).  If you like good coffee, chances are you prefer it super fresh!  A lot of Fair Trade coffee is sold in 12 oz. bags which makes it seem less expensive  while Our Mission Coffee is sold in full pounds (so you have the option of 16 oz. bags of either ground or whole bean.)

One other thing that's different about Our Mission Coffee is that YOU can earn money for your group or your
own family by becoming a Rep yourself, OR any registered non-profit can join for free!  Click here to learn more.

(A note on becoming a member:  whether you join as a representative OR a preferred customer, you will gain savings on the coffee.  When we did the math, we determined that the yearly rep fee covers the extra cost of the retail price so it makes sense to join in order to gain the savings.  This way, if you share it and they want to buy it themselves, you end up getting a commission so your own coffee costs even less.  Our Mission Coffee is about the products...not the hype at a lot of MLM companies push on their reps.  You can earn whether or not you recruit other reps...which is one more reason we joined.)
